Delicious and comforting dinner ideas for the back-to-school season

Ingredients: (Makes 6 servings)

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 packet McCormick Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 can (16 ounces) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (11 ounces) whole kernel corn or Mexican style corn, drained
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup coarsely ground tortilla chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Brown the meat in a large frying pan over medium to high heat. Fat depletion.
  2. Add spice mixture, beans, tomato sauce, and corn. It reached boiling point. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon into a 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and tortilla chips.
  3. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve with various toppings, such as sour cream, cilantro, and avocado, if desired.
