How to Make Hummus Tikka Masala: Hummus Tikka Masala Recipe

In a large bowl, take the boiled chickpeas and add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, fenugreek seeds, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well until the boiled chickpeas are well coated. Cover the pot and leave it aside for 30 minutes to one hour.

In a pan, add some oil/butter and add ginger and garlic paste to it. Now crush the solid spices into the cooked ginger and garlic paste. After they start to pop, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.

Now put the chopped tomatoes in the pan. Add the rest of the spices: cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, soaked cashews, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cover with the lid until the tomatoes are soft and tender. Turn off the gas stove and leave the mixture to cool.

In another pan, take some oil/butter and add the spiced cola. Cook them until they start to smell aromatic. Turn off the stove. Now, put the onion and tomato paste in the blender and blend until it becomes smooth like paste. Be careful not to overheat the blender due to the hot onion and tomato mixture. Keep the lid open to release steam.
