Cars lined the street for the nonprofit, Hosea Helps, on Saturday morning as the organization held its annual Thanksgiving drive for hundreds of metro Atlanta families.

Food insecurity is at an all-time high, and nearly 1 in 8 people in Georgia live with food insecurity, including 1 in 6 children. In its 29-county service area, 1 in 9 people are affected, including 1 in 7 children, according to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

The Complete Thanksgiving Meal, sponsored by Kroger and Publix, included meal boxes containing turkeys, green beans and other items. A few volunteers also showed up to help the Atlanta community get Thanksgiving meal boxes and other items.
