This is one of my favorite posts to share every year. It’s the same every year, but I add/swap at least 40-50 healthy meals that I really liked over the previous year and then remove those that I wasn’t tempted to make. I’ve referenced this post about ten million times over the course of the year, especially when I’m struggling for dinner ideas! Making dinner meal plans is hard, even for me who develops recipes for a living!

I’ve mentioned before that on our ideal weeks, planning and shopping for three full meals works best for us. This way, we don’t get bored with our “menu plan”, as we always end up with leftovers (but not too many leftovers), and it allows us to eat out for a night or two, whether it’s just us or both of us. One of us works, and usually allows one night to have breakfast for dinner, which we love. This has changed a bit with the pandemic – we’ve been cooking at home a lot more than we used to. Some weeks I ate five or six meals. Some weeks I only make two and we have leftovers and take them out! You have to find what works for you.

I always want to make sure our meals are very balanced, always include vegetables, consistent, and most important of all – planned in advance. This is the key and even I go out of practice sometimes. But when we plan our dinners, we eat better overall.
