Jorge’s has been named the best Mediterranean restaurant in Norfolk
Jorge’s Restaurant, on Red Lion Street in Norwich, has taken the title at the Southern Enterprise Awards.
The award, presented by SME News, recognizes high quality SMEs across the south of England.

Jorge’s was opened by Jorge Santos and his wife Eleanor in late 2018.
It quickly became known for its delicious selection of seafood and Portuguese steaks.
Its menu aims to offer something for everyone, from barbecue specialties and Hereford steaks to Mozambique tiger prawns and Wagyu beef.

In a statement shared on social media, the owners said: “We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing team – we appreciate all your hard work so much.
“And to our guests, thank you so much for supporting us.”
The award win comes as Jorge’s Tasca, a lunch and tapas restaurant next door, in the glass-fronted Pivotal House in Orford Yard, will close at the end of the year.
Mr. Santos said the last day will be December 23 because he wants to spend more time with his family and focus on George’s Restaurant.
