Council President Jeff Hogue made the announcement Friday, but said an opening date is unknown at this time.
As Patch previously reported, Mr. Bell closed for good in July after more than three decades at the location.
Lost Pizza Co. 28 locations in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee and Texas.
The new restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Hogue said
Along with specialty pizzas, Lost Pizza Co. also offers a variety of appetizers, salads, wings, pastas, sandwiches and hot Mississippi tamales, as well as a variety of wines and craft beers.
