Michigan’s most expensive restaurant will break the bank

It’s okay to buy something cheap like Hot N Ready from Little Ceasers.
But sometimes you want to go out for a nice meal.

Last year, my wife Lindsey went out to a wonderful dinner at The Chop House.

We were celebrating our anniversary and my wife’s new job.
The food was absolutely amazing, but the inside was dark and I didn’t want to be that guy in a fancy restaurant blinding everyone near me with a flash, so you’ll have to trust me on everything it was good.
Our bill with food, drinks and tip was just over $300 or about 50 Hot N Ready pizzas.

This is a lot of money for me and my wife but it is not the most expensive restaurant in Michigan.

According to Love Food, they searched the country for the most expensive restaurant in each state, based on the most expensive main course and excluding places that only offer set menus or tasting menus.
So what is the most expensive restaurant in Michigan?
Prime and Proper in Detroit has been named the most expensive restaurant in Michigan.
A 6-ounce wagyu steak costs $185
The Porterhouse is a little cheaper at $155
