She also edited the ITV1 show and in the opening moments the show’s chef Marcus Bean appeared to catch her attention.
As he showed off the pasta dish he was about to cook, Sarah said to him, “You’re so beautiful,” then added, “I meant carbonara.”
“For me, spending a second with Her Majesty was a great honour.”

Before the show’s opening credits aired, Sarah appeared backstage and said: “I’ll be joining the family as co-host – Flav – alongside Alison and Dermot.
“As today’s guest editor, I’ve been working with the amazing team behind the scenes to bring you some of the topics I’m most passionate about.”
Her first task was to leaf through newspaper stories with co-hosts and guest Giles Brandreth, and the discussion turned to I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The former Duchess was asked if she had ever been approached to appear on the programme, and she replied “every year”.
But when O’Leary asked her about Christmas dinner when the Queen hosted her family at Sandringham, she replied: “Beans on toast, Giles to you.”
