School lunch menus in SW La. From 18 to 22 September

The following menus for September 18-22 were provided to area schools by food service supervisors. Lists are subject to change.



Monday: Fried beef steak or sticks with mashed potatoes and gravy or baked potato halves with a cup of shredded cheese, large northern or navy beans, a chewy bread stick, a fruit cocktail, grapes or peaches.

Tuesday: Chili pasta with crackers or chili over a bowl of cornbread, cooked carrots, coleslaw, pineapple tidbits, and bananas.

Wednesday: Grilled chicken, lemon pepper or chicken biscuit sandwich, baked beans, sweet potatoes with orange glaze, homemade roll, peaches, apples.

Thursday: Popcorn orange chicken or chicken nugget, fried rice, vegetable melody, mandarin orange, pear, sugar cookies.

Friday: Pizza, sweet peas or carrot sticks, ranch dressing, garden salad, cantaloupe cup, banana.


Monday: Breakfast pizza, hash brown, pear, apple.

Tuesday: Whole grain crackers, a slice of pork sausage, a cup of frozen peaches, grapes or plums.

Wednesday: Cheese or chocolate toast or grape crescent, oatmeal, pineapple chunks, banana.

Thursday: Small french toast, chicken sausage patty, peach, grapefruit, apple.

Friday: Mini bagel with strawberries and cream cheese, yogurt with granola, mandarin orange, pear.



Monday: Pizza, corn, green beans, orange slices.

Tuesday: Nachos with beef, taco salad cup, red beans, pear, cinnamon roll.

Wednesday: Pork and gravy over rice, black-eyed peas, sweet potatoes and peaches.

Thursday: Corn chips, chili, green beans and garden salad.

Friday: Sloppy joe, cup sandwich salad, potato rings, mixed fruit.


Monday: Cereals, toast and mixed fruits.

Tuesday: Cakes and mixed fruits.

Wednesday: Grilled cheese and pear.

Thursday: Ham and cheese roll, apple slices.

Friday: Scrambled eggs, toast, apple slices.



Monday: Calzone, marinara cup, salad, cucumber slices, miss berries and peaches.

Tuesday: Southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, strawberry cups, honey wheat roll.

Wednesday: Chili cheese dogs, french fries, sweet corn, honey and cantaloupe.

Thursday: Jumbo chicken and sausage, baby carrots, tropical fruit salad, potato salad, salty crackers.

Friday: Macho beef nachos, apple juice cup, salsa, seasoned refried beans and cheese.


Monday: Sausage and raisin biscuits.

Tuesday: Breakfast tacos, watermelon.

Wednesday: Pie on a stick, orange wedges.

Thursday: Cinnamon rolls, banana.

Friday: Apple Cinnamon Muffins, and Pineapple Tales.



Monday: Spaghetti with meat sauce, bread slices, side salad, corn, pineapple pieces.

Tuesday: Baked baked potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, green beans, cantaloupe, and a cup of shredded cheese.

Wednesday: Jumbo, rice, carrots, cucumber slices and celery sticks, fruit cocktail.

Thursday: Pollock sticks, dried spaghetti, side salad, black-eyed peas, peaches.


Monday: A cup of cereal, mixed fruits.

Tuesday: Breakfast burrito with eggs, turkey sausage and cheese, and a peach cup.

Wednesday: Mini waffle maple pieces, fruit cup.

Thursday: Strawberry pop tart, mixed berries cup.

Tuesday: Beef and cheese pizza, steamed whole corn, mixed fruit, ice cream cup, taco salad cup.

Wednesday: Roasted turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, frozen vegetable mix, pear halves, whole wheat roll.

Thursday: Chili pasta or lasagna, buttered corn, coleslaw, fruit, whole wheat garlic bread.

Friday: Oven fried ham and cheese sandwich, farm style beans, cantaloupe.


Monday: French toast sticks, sausage slice, pear halves.

Tuesday: Oatmeal, buttered toast, orange slices.

Wednesday: Cinnamon roll, hash browns, chilled peaches.

Thursday: Whole grain grits, pork chops, fruit.

Friday: Assorted grains, cinnamon graham crackers, pineapple chunks.
