New Delhi: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP Keshava Rao said the agenda was missing from the special session of Parliament and added that the party would push for the Women’s Reservation Bill. The opposition has long claimed that the agenda of the special session has not been clarified.

The Government has submitted a preliminary list of legislative acts to be taken up which include the Repeal and Amendment Bill, 2023, the Post Office Bill, 2023 and the Chief Electoral Commissioners and Other Electoral Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Term of Service Office) Bill, 2023, and the Advocates (Amendment) Bill, 2023. , 2023 and the Draft Press and Periodical Registration Law, 2023.

Meanwhile, before the session, PM Modi gave a big nod and said that the session is short but it will be huge. While speaking outside Parliament, the Prime Minister said, “All upcoming decisions will be taken in the new Parliament building.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “…This session of Parliament is short but huge in time. It is a session of historic decisions. The Central government on Wednesday released the agenda for the special session and stated that a discussion would be held on “the 75-year parliamentary journey starting from the Samvidhan Sabha – achievements, experiences, memories and lessons learned”.

The special session will see the official move from the old Parliament building to the new one on September 19, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
