Manny’s Steakhouse has been a Minneapolis institution for decades, and is easily one of the best steakhouses in the state. Aside from serving impeccable quality steaks, another thing Mani’s is known for is the sheer size of its meals. It serves some of the biggest steaks in Minnesota – easily the biggest steaks you’ve ever encountered. For example, the Beef Club weighs over three pounds, and is so large that it can feed an entire family (we’ve broken it down four ways)!
You’ll find Manny’s Steakhouse in the iconic Foshay Tower, which it shares with the W Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
Inside, you’ll find a swanky bar and the kind of subdued, lively atmosphere (lots of wood) you’d expect to see at an upscale steakhouse.
Much of the decor pays tribute to the source of Mani’s famous steaks: Angus beef cattle.
You’ll find a first-class bar program with an extensive wine list and carefully crafted classic cocktails.
Old fashioned never gets old at Manny’s.
And you’ll need this drink before you’re settled in and the parts you have to face are served.
Be it steak or seafood, one way or another, many of the dishes are huge.
Even the sides are a size that can be shared between the table.
However, the star of the show at Manny’s is the Bludgeon of Beef.
It’s 50 ounces of bone-in ribeye, dry-aged for weeks, then cooked to perfection.
And if you’re still craving dessert in some way after your meal, Manny’s won’t let you down in that department either.
Try the head-sized banana split or the ever-popular chocolate cake — which comes in at about 4 pounds.
What you can’t finish, you can definitely take home – if you have fur babies, they are sure to love the bones! On the other hand, you may want to book a room at the W Hotel in advance, so you can move from your table to your bed and sleep off your leftover meat.
