This morning viewers are having a hard time watching the ‘Vomit Sandwich’ cooking clip.

Viewers were left in awe after chef Phil Vickery prepared dishes that are expected to be among the biggest food trends of 2024.

And the chef, 62, was in awe when he told ITV fans on Tuesday’s show that as well as more air fryer recipes, “fun” concoctions will be prominent in the coming months.

Amid initial skepticism from presenters Rylan Clarke and Josie Gibson, he decided to give them a taste of what was to come, namely ramen carbonara and cheeseburger soup.

However, despite its popularity among TikTokers, This Morning fans lamented on X that the creations looked “awful”.

“Is it bad that I literally can’t force myself to watch or live tweet #ThisMorning,” Ross Kiernan wrote.

Commenting on the built-in kitchen, Vanessa Hodges asked: “Is it smart to take two existing dishes and put them together?” Is this the level of intelligence we have reached? Are you out of ideas or what? #This morning.’

Meanwhile, Allie was fuming: “Carbonara/ramen?” What a new hell this is, #this_morning.

Ms. Henry had a similar take on the cheeseburger soup as Allie did, writing: “What is this?” Vomit sandwich??

In defense of the latest innovations in food, Raylan joked that Neapolitan pizza chefs are now adding pineapple to pizza and talking about ramen carbonara.

After taking a bite, Raylan said he was on the plate and commented that the ramen noodles “take on flavor better than the noodles.”

While Phil nervously described the cheeseburger soup as more “extreme”, the innovation went down a storm with Josie declaring: “I’m in love.”

For those who prefer their food more classic, Josie previously shared with Metro.co.uk her recipe for the perfect roast potato.

“So what I do is I boil it — not too much, just a little bit, until it’s a little thin. Then I heat up the pan, the baking tray, and I heat it right up, and then I get a small amount of rock salt in there or sea salt.”

“But then, what I do is I put it in there, I put oil on it, then I sprinkle oxo cubes on it and I toast it, and you’ve never had anything this amazing in your entire life.”

‘The right flavour.’ Oxo. cube. potato. She emphasized that.

“You know what – there’s one thing I can do, and that’s be able to make a good Sunday dinner. That’s something I’m really good at.
