New ownership
The franchise has already changed hands once over the past several years, and the most recent owners, Kamlesh Sonani and Rajeev Chauhan, have decided to sell. Moore, who has lived in Gastonia for 25 years, said she chose to invest in a business in Cherryville because she has family in that area.
“My nephew lives two blocks away. My sister is five minutes away, my mom is five minutes away. So I have a lot of family that helps me with things, and they’re very close,” she said.

Since taking over the restaurant in March, Moore has expanded the restaurant’s game room, installed a larger salad bar, and resumed its weekday lunch buffets, which run Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Papa’s Pizza sells pizza, sub sandwiches, wings, pasta and lasagna.
“A little bit of everything,” Moore said.
Moore expects to add beer within the next 45 days.
“Many customers asked,” Moore said. “And the company agreed.”
