Trahanas Hospitality Group announced today that The Union, a restaurant serving modern American cuisine combined with an exciting full sushi bar and a rotating selection of seasonal specialty items, will open to the public on September 26, 2023. Diners can make reservations at The Union location Electronically or through Open Table.
“Union is this year’s most exciting entry into the Long Island dining scene,” said Elias Trahanas, co-founder of Trahanas Hospitality Group. “Combined with our banquet facilities, The Lannin, and our members-only lounge, The General, we offer three experiences under one roof that will excite and appeal to a wide range of diners from across the region.”
The Union is located on the first floor of a historic building in Eisenhower Park, formerly home to The Carltun on the Park, which underwent a $7 million renovation over the past year.
The 100-plus-seat dining room was designed and decorated by Dallago and Associates. Interspersed with vertical ovals tied to mimic the interior throughout the building, the walls are painted a deep olive color and complemented by brushed gold metal lighting fixtures. Oak-topped tables and beige leather chairs complement the white Mikasa China decor and sleek, modern silverware and glassware. The 20-seat, stone-topped bar is home to the sushi chef, who prepares a variety of selections to order.
Stepping out of the dining room, visitors can relax on the outdoor covered patio with a view of the Eisenhower Park Golf Course. The secondary dining room also overlooks the golf course, against a glass wall filled with selected bottles of wine.
