Luxury dessert café Haute Dolci is set to open a branch in Perth.

Planning permission has been granted for the restaurant to move to 226-232 High Street, previously occupied by Transform Community Development as a furniture store.

Transform Furniture, which also had a store in Dundee, closed its Perth branch on March 17.

Haute Dolci is still confirming its opening date in Perth, but its arrival will add to the area’s already thriving café district alongside Willows, Coffee and Things and Blend Coffee Lounge.

Here’s what you need to know about the newcomer.

What is the size of the Haute Dolci series?

Haute Dolci has been in business for 12 years.

There are 18 Haute Dolci branches across the UK, including an O2 branch in London.

When it opens, Perth will be the company’s second Scottish branch after Edinburgh.

What will the Perth store look like?

According to the approved planning application, Haute Dolci customers will be met with a coffee and takeaway counter at the entrance, as well as a curved dessert counter.

There will be waiting and retail space at the front of the café as well as a seating area.

What is special about Haute Dolci sweets?

Haute Dolci specializes in luxury desserts and what the company describes as “edible art.”

She says she takes “extreme pride” in her selection of handcrafted desserts.

“Our meticulously crafted menu features an array of cakes, cheesecakes, fluffy pies, delicious cookie dough, and other exquisite desserts,” the company’s website says.

“All of our desserts are made using only the finest, freshest ingredients, ensuring every bite will be a sensual delight.”

So what’s on the dessert menu?

Haute Dolci will be the place for those who love sweets.

Its signature collection includes mouth-watering creations such as eggsplugen, fondue, San Sebastian cheesecake, and lotus biscoff crumble.

Haute Dolci’s sweet side is evident in the selection of tarts and cruffles.

The chocolate, chocolate, and raspberry options do what it says on the tin.

Haute Dolci also serves warm food.

The lunch menu features favorites like eggs Benedict and the Royal English Breakfast.
